Severance Town Hall

The Town's offices at Timber Ridge Parkway and County Road 74, open weekdays 8 to 5 with a lunch closure from noon to 1; a drop box on the north side takes things after hours.

The Town of Severance’s offices stand at the corner of Weld County Road 74 and Timber Ridge Parkway and are open Monday to Friday, closing for lunch from noon to 1 pm; for after-hours drop-offs there is a box on the north side of the building. The Town’s Community Gardens page sends would-be gardeners for the Tailholt Community Garden here, and the Great Western Trail Authority’s About page says its board meets here on the first Thursday of each month at 5:30 pm. The Town’s Trick or Treat Parade page puts this year’s parade at Town Hall and the library on October 30, 3 to 5 pm, with trunk-or-treating and a haunted walk through both buildings; a nonperishable food item for the Weld Food Bank is the price of entry.

  • Explore Severance: four places in driving order

Brownell Park and Bruce's Bar share 1st Street in Old Town; the library and Lakeview Park are a drive away. Four stops, with the hours and rules the Town, the library district and the bar publish.

  • How Severance grew from Tailholt to today

A post office meant to be called Tailholt, a governor's son, a beet dump on the Great Western Railway, a town of about a hundred people for half a century, Bruce's Bar and its Rocky Mountain oysters, a snowball law repealed by a nine-year-old, and growth from 106 people in 1990 to 7,683 in 2020.
