Art & Heritage Center

The Town's free art and history gallery in the 1909 former Town Hall on 5th Street, with rotating exhibitions and the old fire truck out front, open Thursday to Sunday.

Windsor’s 1909 Town Hall, which once held every town office with the fire station on the lower floor and the hall above, was restored in 2008 after the tornado and is now the Art & Heritage Center, a two-story municipal building with an old vehicle out front. It is the Town’s hub for art, culture and history: rotating exhibitions through the year, programs and events, and the heritage side of the Town of Windsor Museums, which also run the History Museum at Boardwalk Park, the Eaton House and the Historic Halfway Homestead.

Admission is always free. The Town’s facility page gives Thursday afternoon and evening and Friday to Sunday afternoons; its Culture page lists different summer hours from late May (Friday noon to 4, Saturday 9 to 4, Sunday 9 to 1), so check the current exhibition page before a visit.
