Overlook Park

Town park at 650 Audubon Boulevard, where the Town held its Neighborhood Concert on October 3, 2026, in a year without Severance Days.

One of the Town of Severance’s public parks, on Audubon Boulevard. The Town’s Neighborhood Concert page says that with Severance Days not held in 2026, the Town brought people together here on October 3 for an afternoon and evening of live music, food trucks and vendors, closing Audubon Boulevard nearby for the weekend. The Town’s Park Reservation Request page says a group of more than 50 always needs a reservation, filed at least 10 business days ahead; events with amplified sound, public admission or a road closure need a special event permit; and alcohol is not allowed in Town parks without a special event permit and a liquor license.

  • How Severance grew from Tailholt to today

A post office meant to be called Tailholt, a governor's son, a beet dump on the Great Western Railway, a town of about a hundred people for half a century, Bruce's Bar and its Rocky Mountain oysters, a snowball law repealed by a nine-year-old, and growth from 106 people in 1990 to 7,683 in 2020. With sources.

  • Severance with kids

Where to take children in Severance: neighborhood playgrounds and a skate park, the stocked pond at Blue Spruce Park, the Severance Library's storytimes and after-school programs, the Great Western Trail to Eaton, the pools in Windsor and the Town's year from the trick-or-treat parade to the fishing derby.
