Chimney Park & Chimney Park Pool
The park on the east side of downtown with the Town's outdoor pool (lap lanes, a kiddie pool, a water slide coming in 2027), three ball fields including a new turf field, playgrounds, shelters and restrooms.
Chimney Park takes in the shelter and playground at Chimney Park North on East Chestnut Street, the Chimney Park Ball Fields at 501 Chimney Park Drive, and the outdoor pool between them at 421 Chimney Park Drive. The north shelter seats about 32 at four tables; the ball-field complex has three baseball fields, a central shelter, a concession stand with restrooms and playgrounds, and Aaron Cook Field was converted from grass to synthetic turf in spring 2025 (molded cleats only, no food, pets or bikes on the turf). Fields are reserved through the Community Recreation Center.
Chimney Park Pool is the town’s summer pool: lap lanes, a separate kiddie pool half a foot to a foot deep, shelters, picnic tables with umbrellas, lounge chairs, life jackets, showers and restrooms, and a water slide the Town says is coming in 2027. It is closed for the season as of October. Admission when open is $6 for adults 21 to 61, $5 for anyone under 21, $4 for under-5s and for seniors 62 and over, $18 for a family of four, and $4 for a twilight swim after 6 pm.
